Feeling a bit better....but not quite myself....

I'm feeling a bit better than I did yesterday.  I hate feeling like this.  I did manage a few things today.

I didn't go anywhere until it was time for Mass.  I just kind of took it easy.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to eat.  Finally around 2:45, I decided to eat lunch.  I kept it simple with a baked potato.  Then I added some butter and margarine.  It sure tasted good!  Then, we headed to Mass.  Rick was ushering today.  That meant me sitting by myself for part of the time we were at Mass.

After Mass, the gang gathered outside like we usually do.  No one really had any ideas for dinner  so Theresa suggested The Montgomery Inn Boathouse.  It's down on the river.  Only one wasn't too thrilled with it but we ended up going there.  It's on the Ohio River.  I was looking forward to going.  Rick and I had never been there before so we were okay with it.  Theresa's daughter works there as a hostess.  She called and put in reservations for us.  They do not seat until the entire party is there.  It didn't matter.  We went upstairs to the bar and then out to the terrace or patio.  We enjoyed sitting out there and talking. Well, I was taking pictures as I usually do when I go someplace I haven't been in a while.  We did that until they had our table ready.  There were twelve of us.  We all started with drinks.  I had Pepsi.  I was surprised they had Pepsi.  Most places have coke.  The guys drank beer.  Some of the gals had wine and such.  I did have a pina colada when we were on the patio but I decided I didn't need any more.  The item that Montgomery Inn is known for are Ribs.  YUM!  I was tossing between Ribs and Chicken.  I opted for the petite size of Ribs since my abdomen was still acting up.  The waitress told me that was a child's portion and I was good with that.  I got a salad and a sweet potato.  YUM!  It was good.  I wore a bib because eating ribs can be messy.  I'll see if I can post a picture.  If I can, I'll post one with the river, too.

After we ate, we went for a walk along the river.  I took pictures.....ummm....quite a few...71.  I love to take pictures.  We walked and watched for about an hour.  After that, we took Joyce to her car and we came home.  I just loaded my pictures and am here on this journal.  So, I think that's it for this time.

Until next time........... hug

Not feeling well......

I woke up today and just didn't feel right all day.  I'm not sure what it is.  I 've had trouble with abdomen pain.  I think I'm going to call and get a doctor appointment sometime next week.  I have a neurologist appointment on Monday so I don't want to go to the regular doctor on the same day.  I'll try for Tuesday or later.

I opted not to do anything today.  I was working on cleaning out my computer room.  With the way I felt, I decided I couldn't do it.  I did sit down and read a chapter in the book I'm reading.  It's a romance book.  I love to read those....I'm a romantic at heart.  They could do without some details in the books but overall I enjoy them a lot.

I did watch a documentary on Alaskan wildlife.  It had my interest because it started with the Kodiak Bear.   I learned a lot about them and I just love to watch bears.  Near the end of the show, they also had Polar Bears.  We should see whales and they were on this, too.

Someone asked a question about the Osmond Family Shows on Spotlight so I had to pull them out and see what they were about.  I had ten shows.  Unfortunately, I can only watch them on my computer but they are worth watching.  I bought them and most of the old Donny and Marie shows from someone.  I don't have his info anymore but I do have the shows.  It was fun watching some of them.  Certain parts I did watch.  I may have to watch the one from London and the Country/Rock shows.  I remember liking them a lot.

After that, I decided to go pick up some prescriptions for Rick and myself.  I think I felt better getting out.  I came home and Rick was searching for stuff to do when we're in Seattle.  I don't think we're going to book anything ahead of time....just go with the flow when we get there.  We're talking about driving or taking a bus to Mt. Ranier.  I think that would be awesome!

Rick played golf and Alice and I went out to eat.  I was still having a bit of a problem but managed okay.  We stopped at a clothing store on the way home.  Alice bought a top.  I didn't get anything.  Soon after we got home, Rick called to see if I wanted to go to Corpus Christi's festival. I did and I didn't want to go but I went.  I was Rick's designated driver.  We stayed there a bit long since I didn't sit down anywhere.  It was too loud with a band when we were near the seats.  I opted to walk around every once in a while.  I took chances on some baskets and did win one.  I chose a wine cooler basket.  Alice will like that!

As for the not being able to stand....I don't know what I'll do in Vegas.  I know there will be standing in line for the Meet and Greet.  What will I do?  I'll have to figure that out when I get there.  I'm so looking forward to seeing these shows but more so I'm looking forward to meeting a few people I've been wanting to meet.  I'm not saying names because I'll leave someone out and that is not my intention.  I just want to have fun... and I will!

It wasn't hot today.  We actually had the windows open for a bit.  I asked if we could close a couple because I was cold.  It was humid and when it is, I sweat.  It's not pretty but it's what I do.  I may ask the doctor about that, too, next week.

Happy birthday to Alan Osmond.

Well, that's it for today.

Until next time................. hugs

Don't expect much on here....

Don't expect much on here.  I just plan on continuing what I did on Spotlight.  I plan on recapping my day.  It could get quite boring but a few have said that they'd like to keep reading it.  I wish I understood why.  Maybe, I'm not as boring as I think I am.

I didn't sleep in today.  I got up around 8:00.  Not sure what I planned on doing but I need to get up early tomorrow to get a perm and I thought it would be easier to get up if I went to bed earlier, which would happen by getting up early.  (Did you follow that?)

I'm glad I did.  After checking emails and such, I went to the TV.  I was flipping through the stations and there was Marie.  She was on QVC.  It was an hour of Crafting with Marie.  I watched for 45 minutes and was thorougly entertained.  Marie just has a way.  I hope I remember to watch her with dolls on Thursday.

I then started watching a show on Alaskan wildlife.  It was quite interesting.  We won't be going to where this was taped.  They kept mentioning the arctic and we're not going that far north.  It was still interesting, nonetheless.

I got cleaned up and ready for the day.  I really didn't have anything in mind.  I did try to print off a form for a Flex plan I'm with.  With proper medical receipts, I get back everything I put into it.  That's always a good thing!  My printer wouldn't work.  I think it's time for a new one.  We did get Rick's old printer to work with Alice's laptop so that is on its way.  Yeah!

We ordered pizza for dinner.  I know it's not the most nutritious but it sure was good.  :)
